Phase 3 — Automations
10
Create a Workflow. Go to Automation → Workflows → + New Workflow. Set the trigger to "Form Submitted" (your opt-in form). Add an action to "Add to Email Campaign" — this connects to your email sequence in the next step.
11
Create a second Workflow for buyers. Trigger: "Order Form Submitted" → Action: "Add Tag: Customer" + "Remove from lead email sequence" + "Add to customer welcome sequence".
12
Set up your custom domain. Go to Settings → Domains → Add Domain. Point your domain's CNAME to GHL. This usually takes 10–30 minutes to propagate.
Phase 1 — Account Setup
1
Log in to Systeme.io at systeme.io/dashboard. Complete the short welcome setup if prompted.
2
Connect your payment processor. Go to Settings → Payment Gateways → + Add Payment Gateway. Connect Stripe (recommended) or PayPal. This is required before you can sell anything.
3
Create your product. Go to Products → + Create. Name it , set the price to , and select "One-time payment". Save the product.
Phase 2 — Build Your Funnel
4
Create your funnel. Click Funnels → Create. Choose "Sell a product" as your funnel goal. Name it .
Systeme.io will automatically create the standard funnel steps for you — squeeze page, sales page, order form, and thank you page.

Phase 3 — Automations
10
Set up your email automation. Go to Automations → Create. Set the trigger to "Subscribed to a list" (your lead list). This will fire your welcome email sequence — which you'll install in the next step.
11
Tag your buyers. Create a second automation with trigger "Purchase (your product)" → action "Subscribe to buyer list" + "Unsubscribe from lead list". This prevents buyers from receiving sales emails they've already responded to.
12
Connect your custom domain. Go to Settings → Custom Domains → Add Domain. Follow the DNS instructions. Takes 10–30 minutes to propagate.

Technical Setup
Custom domain connected and resolving correctly
Visit your domain in a browser — your funnel should load, not an error page.
SSL certificate active (https:// padlock shows)
Required for trust and for payment processors to work.
Payment processor connected and tested
Run a $1 test purchase with a real card. Refund it after. This is the only way to know it works.
Every page looks correct on mobile
Over 60% of visitors will be on a phone. Check every page on your smartphone.
Funnel Flow
Opt-in form submits and redirects to sales page
Fill in the form with a test email. Confirm it lands on the sales page (not a 404).
Order bump shows on the order form
Open your order page. The bump offer should appear as a checkbox below the order form.
Upsell page loads after purchase
After your test purchase, you should land on the upsell page automatically.
Both thank you pages load correctly
One after opt-in, one after purchase. Both should display the right message.
Email Sequence
Email 1 (welcome) arrives within 5 minutes of opt-in
Opt in with your personal email. If Email 1 doesn't arrive within 5 minutes, check your automation trigger.
Sender name and email address are correct
It should say your name and your business email — not a platform default like "noreply@ghl.com".
All links inside emails go to the correct pages
Click every link in your test emails. Confirm none are broken or pointing to placeholder URLs.
Unsubscribe link works in all emails
Required by law (CAN-SPAM, GDPR). Click unsubscribe in your test email to confirm it removes the contact.
